This I call inspiration; the blind mountaineer who conquered Everest - Erik Weihenmayer

Reaching the summit of Mount Everest is a triumph for any climber, but for Erik Weihenmayer, the accomplishment is even more impressive. That's because he is blind.

Born with a rare eye disease, Mr. Weihenmayer lost his sight at age 13 and later discovered a sense of freedom through climbing.

Erik, born September 23, 1968 is an American athlete, adventurer, author, activist and motivational speaker.

He is the co-founded of No Barriers, a nonprofit organization with the tagline, "What’s within you is stronger than what’s in your way." The organization helps people of diverse backgrounds and abilities to attack challenges head on, problem solve, build winning teams, and serve others.

Thank you Erik for being such an inspirational no barrier human being.
